My portraits vary from paintings of famous figures, my family and  friends to self portraits. I have always been interested in portraiture exploring and experimenting with various techniques from traditional oils, acrylics to mixed media and coloured pencils. I paint from life as well as from photographs. The portraits in acrylics are produced using pigments mixed with acrylic and or wax mediums. The oil painting technique is based on the ancient method using a tempera based undercoating finishing with transparencies applying an oil based medium.
