Sculptures

In this series of sculptures, I have incorporated natural organic forms with man made materials such as computer chips, fans, metal grids, old mechanical pumps and of course copper piping and taps. Basically I use any found objects or left over materials from my own building and construction from my home. At the start of spring I will literally plant any kind of metal grid or structure amongst my Kiwi plants. The Kiwi plant then grows all around the structure and then once the plants loose their leaves in the fall, I harvest my sculptures with the vines intertwined into my metal and bamboo structures. I am a jack-of-all-trades but master of none. I like to dabble in all forms of arts and crafts. These sculptures allow me to build and apply several techniques to produce certain forms, which occupy space and can be viewed from all sides.
